Five Freedom Fund

The Cuban Five – Gerardo, Ramón, Antonio, Fernando, and René – have endured eight years in prison for opposing terrorism that has killed 3,478 Cubans.

The Five were unjustly prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced to four life terms and 75 years, by a Miami prosecutor, court and jury that could not guarantee them a fair, unbiased trial, due to virulent anti-Cuba prejudice in Miami.

Money is vitally needed to carry out the struggle to free the Cuban Five. Last year, money donated to the Five Freedom Fund helped organize the first national demonstration on behalf of the Five, and brought six hundred people to Washington, D.C. to demonstrate in front of the Justice Department and White House to demand freedom for the Five. Other demonstrations demanding the extradition of notorious anti-Cuba terrorist Luis Posada Carriles have been held in El Paso, TX (with another planned for May 11), thanks to the money generated by the fund. Representatives of the Committee have spoken from one end of the country to the other, publicizing the case. Considerable press coverage has been gained in our efforts to make the cause of the Five publicly known. A major 2-page ad in The Nation magazine is in the works.

All of these activities take money. Please help with a generous donation.
